Together with the Joint Strategic Framework Burundi, SECORES organized a participatory workshop on 14 June 2022 involving Burundian and Belgian actors: 9 Burundian NGOs, University of Burundi, OBPE the Burundese Office for Environmental Protection, ENABEL (the development agency of the Belgian federal government) and 6 Belgian non-governmental cooperation actors.
After explaining the concept and approach of social-ecological resilience by SECORES and a plenary exchange, OBPE presented the challenges of Burundi and the Burundese NGOs OAP and ADISCO gave some practical examples from the field.
In the afternoon, good practices and challenges were discussed in small working groups.
